When my sister and I owned our spa together, we had a client who called us the "Storm Sisters" whenever he greeted us. Sturm = Storm in German.

"When I left the salon/spa to open up my online/storefront beauty boutique, 'StormSister' just felt right," she says.
Who is Becky Sturm and what does she know about all this stuff?
Well, it’s like this…Becky grew up in her grandmother’s beauty shop and has been a hairdresser for more than 26 years. She is also the owner and founder of the 3waybeauty brand and inventor of the shampoo, shower and shave grooming bar shhh., which made its debut in April 2011.
Becky launched the multifunctional, organic product after years of retail experience and product research.
Her salon and store experience has made her an expert in everything from behind-the-chair styling, owning a salon/spa and researching and creating new beauty products.

Becky is a graduate of Minneapolis’ Horst Education Center, today known as The Aveda Institute, and, in 1985 she completed Horst’s Advanced Training program. Following an internship with Aaron Nicholson of The Red Carpet Salons, Regis Corporation showed up on Becky’s doorstep. They convinced Becky and her sister, Michelle, to open a Regis salon for them in West Saint Paul’s Signal Hills Mall. In 1988 the sisters started their own small salon in their grandparents' home. As third generation hairdressers, Grandma was thrilled to host the in-house beauty shop for 11 years. Becky’s loyal clientele enabled the sisters to acquire THE SALON for you! Spa & Salon in 1997 in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul.

Becky’s passion to explore new and unique products, combined with her drive to educate clients, facilitated the growth of her retail business within the salon. Eventually, Becky’s innovative style and entrepreneurial spirit pushed her to start her own online shopping site. The website’s success enabled Becky to open the brick and mortar version, StormSister Spatique®.

“I want to educate on just how important good skin and hair care really is. Invest in it now before serious money has to be spent on it later,” says Becky.

What began as an online business in 2005, eventually evolved into a kitschy little storefront on Smith Avenue on Saint Paul's West Side neighborhood. After 4 years in her storefront, Becky decided her next logical step in the beauty biz was product development.
